Setup

Install Heroku MCP Server

It runs locally with: npx -y @heroku/mcp-server. In Claude Code run: claude mcp add heroku -e HEROKU_API_KEY='<HEROKU_API_KEY>' -- npx -y @heroku/mcp-server. In Cursor or Claude Desktop add a "heroku" entry with that command under mcpServers. Checked against the official README on Oct 18, 2026.

Paste into ~/.cursor/mcp.json, or claude_desktop_config.json for Claude Desktop.
