What we track

Open-source AI repositories found with GitHub search on AI topics (llm, ai-agent, mcp, mcp-server, model-context-protocol, claude-code, agent-skills, rag, llm-inference, generative-ai and more, each with a minimum star count), plus fast risers spotted in the public GH Archive event stream whose name, description or topics are about AI. Forks are excluded; archived repos keep their history but are not ranked.

What we count

Once a day (about 02:30 UTC) we record every tracked repo's total star count from the GitHub GraphQL API. Stars gained = today's total minus an earlier total, so it is a net change (unstars count against it). GH Archive is used only to find repos: its star events are a sample, so we never rank on them.

Rankings

Today = the change between the last two daily snapshots. This week = the change over the last 7 days of snapshots (shorter, with the dates shown, while history builds up). Weekly archive = ISO week, from the Monday snapshot to the next Monday snapshot, kept once complete. Ties break by total stars. Each list shows the top 50.

Markers

"↑ rising": over a window of 3+ days, the latest day brought 50+ stars and at least twice the window's daily average. No editorial picks, no paid placement.

Categories

AI agents, MCP servers, agent skills, models & inference, AI apps & tools. Each new repo is classified once, and its one-line zh/en summary written once, by a small language model (DeepSeek) from the description, topics and README; results are cached and not regenerated. Without a summary, a repo page stays out of search indexes.

Traffic column

When a repo's homepage has a Vaneform report, the board links to it; visit numbers appear only where Vaneform publishes them.

Schedule

One run per day around 02:30 UTC (10:30 Beijing time). Data: JSON at /api/v1/github-ai.json, RSS at /github-ai/rss.xml.
